Gonkar Gyatso: Contemporary Tibetan Artist

One of the few Tibetans to have study Art in both Beijing and London, Gonkar Gyatso was a core member of the Sweet Tea House artists group of Lhasa in the early 1980s. Gyatso eventually left Tibet for Dharamsala, India, where he connected with exile Tibetan cultural initiatives and Thangka painting, before moving to the UK in the late 1990s.
